A Bit of a Headache

Poor Greg was not feeling great the other day. Just a bit of a headache, so he took to bed with the laptop and some emails that needed to be dealt with. And then along came the "Head Warmer Uppers" who had decided that they would boil away Greg's headache with blankets, pillows, and bathrobes. And it worked!

Teeth!

Who knew the difficulties involved in photographing four things that aren't there? Smile, already, you two!

Grade One

We had a couple of extremely excited young ladies on the porch this morning, ready to tackle a full day of school including lunch. Mostly ready. Fiona was a bit nervous, but she perked up considerably when she saw her new teacher wearing high heelers. Henry keeps mentioning how quiet everything seems, and asking if it is time to go and get the girls yet.

Wouldn't it be great if there were an F and an S hiding under Ruby's backpack straps on that shirt?

Happy Birthday, Grandma Susan!

Thinking of you today, Grandma, and hoping your day is a great one!  See you in a couple of weeks, love Henry, Fifi, Ruby and their parental units.

The Green Wormers

Here they are, The Green Wormers, warming and caring for their charges after finding the little cuties floating in a puddle. The worms were then brought inside to dance, play, sing, have a nap, and eat some leaves. And then it was time to release them - we'll find more tomorrow.

Munchstaches

Two droopies and an uppie. Delicious with applesauce, devoured within 2 days. Thank you, thank you, Auntie Megan! Cookies by mail are declared a very good idea.

An Athlete, a Hula Duck

Here is Henry at 2 years old. He LOVES his basketball net. He is using a basketball in the shot above, but has since experimented with slam dunking plastic dinosaurs, stuffed cats, a can of tomatoes (whole, 28oz.), and a can opener. He also loves his hockey stick, his baseball bat, his football....all of these sports without ever having seen anyone play them. He also loves dressing up with his sisters, though, and here he is in his "Hula Tutu". Sadly, when we gave away our old stereo/LP player, we also gave away our Don Ho records, so the children have been reduced to hula-ing to the Irish Rovers. Not quite the same, but you do with what you have.
